First Word Celebration

The First Word Celebration is an annual celebration for our graduating Kindergartners and their friends and family. As they move on to First Grade and leave their days at Creation Corner behind, the First Word Celebration honors the time that they have spent with us learning about God. We do this in two ways.

First on a Saturday in May, we will hold the First Word Celebration. This event is a time of celebration with family and friends as our Kindergarten class share what they have learned in Creation Corner. A time of fellowship with refreshments will precede this event and childcare is provided.

Following the First Word Celebration, on a Sunday in May, the     Kindergarten Class will be invited before the congregation. Each child will receive their very own new Bible from Rev. Shane, who will also say a prayer for the children at this time. This event is   impactful to the children as they cherish their new Bible and to the congregation as they get to be a part of this special moment in your child’s life.

These two parts of the First Word Celebration are an exciting and amazing time to celebrate God’s role in the lives of our Kindergarten children as they continue their journey to knowing Jesus Christ.

Look for more information about this event each spring in your child’s Kindergarten classroom and contact Mistie Denny at with any questions.
