Week 3 recap on Fill the Pantry: 1,143 items and $250 were donated in Week 3 of the Fill The Pantry Food Drive.In Shane’s recent sermon he referenced making a difference.We have some children who frequently participate in sorting the food donations and they write messages on some of the food items so when someone receives the item they know they are loved by Jesus.The children often write a simple message.“Jesus Loves You”Please pray that not only is someone nourished by the food donated, but that their soul is also replenished by the message received.The Fairview Heights Food Pantry has had an increase in those in need and is currently supporting well over 100+ family units (300+ people) each month.They have an ongoing need for:KIDS CEREALSCANNED MEATS (chicken, spam, ham, tuna)CANNED MEALS (beef stew, chicken & dumplings, chili, Manwich for sloppy joes, spaghetti O’s, etc.)BOXED MEALS (hamburger/tuna helper, Chef Boyardee meals, etc.)SPAGHETTI SAUCES, SOUPS (cream of mushroom, cream of potato, clam chowder, any cream soups, tomato)CANNED FRUITS (peaches, pears, pineapple, applesauce)CANNED POTATOES, CANNED BEETS, CANNED CARROTS, CANNED TOMATOESINSTANT POTATOES (packets/boxes of mashed, augratin or scalloped)RICE (bags or instant packets)NOODLES (egg, dumplings, pasta)SUGAR, COOKING OIL, CAKE MIXES & FROSTING, PANCAKE MIX & SYRUP, PUDDING / JELLO CUPSHEALTHY SNACKS (granola bars, fruit rollups, etc.)COFFEE & TEA, JUICES (apple, grape, cranberry, etc.)PAPER PRODUCTS (Kleenex, bathroom tissue, paper towels)SOAPS (hand soap, dish soap, laundry soap),SANITIZERS (hand, counter top)PERSONAL ITEMS (toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, hygiene products, diapers).Food donations should be placed in the bins in the Scripture Hall foyer.Monetary donations should be made payable to the “Fairview Heights Food Pantry” addressed to Kevin Nowak Food Pantry and dropped off at the Church Welcome Center or the Church Office.For further information, please send an email to See MoreSee Less
