Love God. Love People. Don’t Do Dumb Crap.
This book is, plain and simple, a collection of stories. Stories are to the human experience what songs are to an album or what content is to a publication. Stories are the “stuff” that comprise our lives. Stories offer our lives context and color, help us remember, infuse meaning and convey the pain and exhilaration found in the seemingly unremarkable act of day-to-day living.
The time between the completion of my last book Re:Member in 2013 and the writing of this book has been most jagged. It has been four years, defined by inexpressible joy on one hand, and an unanticipated crisis on the other. The act of writing these stories has helped me in many ways and I hope that you are engaged, challenged, and even healed by the stories shared in this book. I hope you laugh, cry, reflect, draw strength, and find your hearts “strangely warmed,” to quote the father of Methodism, John Wesley. The honor of being invited to speak into your life is a privilege that I never take for granted.
